PREPARING FOR FOREVER
Assurance of Everlasting Life

"There is plenty of room for you in my Father's home. If that weren't so, would I have told you that I'm on my way to get a room ready for you? And if I'm on my way to get a room ready, I'll come back and get you so you can live where I live."

I sat there alone in the hospital room near my sister who was labeled "terminal." She had not responded to my voice or touch, continuing in her deep sleep.

My heart felt the pangs of sorrow, knowing she was soon to depart this earth. Yet, Jesus was in the room with me to reassure me and encourage others as well. Here is what He said:

ETERNALLY MINE
I am the Lord of the living.
All those who believe in Me
shall never die.
Their lives are everlasting,
as I, too, am forever alive.
I care for each one who
puts his trust in Me
and relies on Me
to carry Him on wings of angels
into the land prepared for my beloved.
Each has a place with Me
eternally blessed,
eternally in My presence!

Do you know the same Jesus my sister knew and do you have the assurance of everlasting life in Him?

If you have a few moments, read "He is With Me" in God's Comfort for Today's Needs. This message could just as easily have been titled "She is With Me."
